Join me for a fun and informative workshop where you’ll learn how to turn your nature strip (verge) into a beautiful, low-maintenance, and sustainable indigenous pollinator garden that supports local biodiversity and brightens your street. Guided by the think global- act local principal, we will explore how small scale habitat gardens can play a big role in addressing the impacts of climate change, urban sprawl and pollinator decline, all while enhancing your neighbourhood.
The workshop will enable you to –
Understand your local council guidelines and permit requirements
Create your planting plan and plant list
Find plant suppliers and create a budget
Learn about soil remediation and weed control, and ongoing care
Whether you’re a green thumb or just getting started, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to makeover your nature strip with plants that belong and thrive locally.
